I was told to try lower weight discs because of my injury to my elbow. I was in the old school way of thinking that the lighter the disc, it wouldn't fly right. I have always thrown in the 175 range, but this lighter disc sails so easily and moves from left to right to left again and it's easy to get 400 feet out of it, even with a sore elbow throwing backhand. I think the only thing about light discs is that if it's really windy, the performance will not stay true to flight path and at the tail end, the wind can whip it in an undesired direction. If you throw at lower speeds, it still has good movement left to right, but not as pronounced.
